Behind every process at Our Rivers is a team of dedicated people, and Abi Carnegie is no exception. As one of our Environmental Consultants, Abi brings a friendly and supportive approach to her role, helping clients feel confident and well looked after every step of the way.

With over three years of experience in nutrient neutrality, Abi plays a vital role in providing knowledge and expertise to support our clients and the rest of the team. Her work is centred around clear communication and attention to detail, ensuring every process meets the required standards. Always approachable and supportive, Abi is also happy to guide and share her knowledge with others, helping the whole team to grow and develop.

A day in the life at Our Rivers

Working on the Our Rivers team means no two days are ever the same, and that’s something Abi really enjoys. Her day-to-day activities include answering calls, writing reports, and making sure every detail is accurate.

Abi spends much of time contacting Local Planning Authorities, corresponding with clients, and carrying out eligibility checks to ensure everything aligns with the correct requirements.

One of Abi’s favourite parts of the job is talking to clients. She loves building connections, answering questions, and helping make the process as smooth and stress-free as possible. This people-first approach reflects the values at the heart of Our Rivers.

Life Outside the Office

Outside of work, Abi enjoys spending time with her dog, Dave, and unwinding with her favourite comfort foods (an unlimited supply of BBQ spareribs would definitely be high on her list!). Her takeaway of choice is a classic ham and pineapple pizza, and when it comes to tea, she takes two sugars with a dash of milk (as a once-a-year treat!).

Abi also has a fun hidden talent, as she can move her eyebrows like the children from the famous Cadbury’s advert, and if she could have any superpower, it would be talking to animals.
